EXCELLENT Based on 36 reviews Posted on Judith NsuntshaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a fun and fabulous time. Hosts are friendly and politePosted on Pick FamTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had family visiting from Gauteng, Limpopo and Australia and decided to do this activity as a family experience. Karli our guide was amazing. She is knowledgeable about the wines, the estates and the cultivars. Vincent our driver was such a gentleman - helping us on and off the Safari truck. He was on point with his choice of music and on route back we were all singing along. Due to some changes in times, the tour had to be modified and two wine estates were swopped around. We landed up at Maastricht Wines after D'Aria. The wines at Maastricht were great - we bought a couple of bottles of Pinotage, Pinot Noir and Merlot. We would have missed lunch at Jéan Restaurant at Klein Roosboom Boutique Winery due to the swop, but the owners of Durbanville Wine Safari suggested Cassia at Nitida Wine Farm. They went over and above to accommodate us and changed the route so that we could be at Nitida for lunch. We did miss Klein Roosboom - so we do have a reason for another trip one day. All in all a wonderful experience - would recommend this for anyone visiting the Cape Winelands.Posted on Paula FariaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an incredible time on the Durbanville Wine Safari. I look forward to trying another one of their route options.Posted on Richard KnutsenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our Durbanville Wine Safari with Karli (wine expert) and Vincent (safari expert and DJ extraordinaire) was truly a five-star experience from start to finish. We began with a game drive through the private reserve, spotting eland, wildebeest, zebras, and taking in vast, peaceful landscapes and beautiful vistas. It’s inspiring to see private landowners using their farms to protect and preserve the land and wildlife for the future. Partway through the drive, we stopped in a protected area for a relaxed wine tasting featuring two wines from Klein Roosboom – a 2025 Chenin Blanc and a 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon, both rich and flavorful. We were told we were the very first visitors to enjoy this newly opened lookout spot, where you can sit back with a glass of wine and just soak in the scenery. From there, we continued to Diemersdal Winery, a historic estate dating back to 1698, with charming Dutch architecture and a list of over 25 wines. We tasted six unique wines, including a standout made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes that are frozen over winter and then slowly thawed in the sun, draining off the water to create a concentrated, demi-sec style wine – truly something special. Our final stop was another beautiful, history-filled estate where we enjoyed a leisurely lunch - Meerendal. Karli and Vincent are warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about both wine and wildlife. If you’re anywhere near Cape Town or Durbanville, do not miss this experience – it’s the perfect combination of safari adventure, world-class wines, breathtaking views, and soulful hosting.Posted on Caitlin ButterworthTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Oh my word! What an incredible experience, Vincent was our guide and to say that he was amazing would be an understatement. Think wind in your hair, somebody there to keep you on time and safe, wine galore, good food, amazing views and music. These safaris are so incredibly well planned, organised and executed- I would 100% recommend doing this. Whether you’re a local or international, it’s definitely an experience you don’t want to miss. Thank you so much to Durbanville Wine Safaris, Vincent and the fabulous wine farms- what a day!Posted on Megan K. MyburgTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. All I'm going to say is book it, and see for yourself. The Durbanville Wine Safari team really found the best way to keep us heated on a rainy weekend in CPT. From the warm greetings while waiting for the bus from the hotel staff, to the quick and factual trip through the vineyards, we definitely had an unforgetable time. Thank you to the entire team, see you soon for the animal safari :).Posted on Meagen JacksonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a fantastic experience with the Durbanville Wine Safari! From start to finish, we were blown away by the staff’s friendly hospitality and enthusiasm. Their extensive knowledge of the wine farms and remarkable attention to detail made our visit truly memorable. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a delightful wine tour. We were made to feel so special and couldn’t imagine a better way to celebrate a birthday. A big thanks to Durbanville Wine Safari for their brilliant customer service! Special shoutouts to Melissa and Vincent, who were phenomenal in keeping us entertained and safe throughout our adventure. We can't wait to return!Posted on Ashley JafthaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. First time using this service. We were a group of 9. The initial starting time was 11h. When we checked in, we were informed we would depart at 11h15 and kept on being delayed by 15 min. When we eventually left the hotel, and arrived at the first stop, we were told by the wine guide that they leave on strict schedule and that we need to be considered of their time, which was a bit contradicting since our trip was delayed by 30 min. When we got to Diemersdal, which was the 2nd stop, we were told that Durbanville wine safari guests sit outside. It was cold and drizzling with rain. And the tasting room staff had very strong feelings about them. So why not remove Diemersdal from the list since reception was so cold?! It is a paid service, so why not give guests a choice prior so they can decide if the estate is worth it to sit outside in the cold or not. We opted for the restaurant instead, which weren't even suggested by either parties. Luckily, the waiter who served us salvaged the entire situation and made the experience at Diemersdal memorable. I didn't get his name, but he'll remember us. Overall, the driver got us back safe.Posted on Zabeth BothaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Durbanville Wine Safari went above and beyond to accommodated us on a public holiday (when they were supposed to be closed). Communication and arrangements were easily made with Melissa, via their WhatsApp assistance. Thank you Melissa for making it so special for our group of friends!
